Pros and cons of Bibliophilia - Archive your library app for iPhone and iPad

Bibliophilia - Archive your library app good for

I tested many book collection apps, until I got to know this one. I just bought the full version and it worth its money! There are so many useful functions and the design is really nice. The stanility is great and I havent discovered an issue yet. I wrote an E-Mail to the support today (Sunday) and I got an answer just a few hours later. THAT is SERVICE! Keep on the great work!
This is exactly what I was looking for. Its easy to use and I have had no problem finding books. It would be useful to add a feature to put The after the title so that the copious number of titles beginning with the are not lumped under T when sorting by title.

Some bad moments

Bibliophilia is exactly what Ive been looking for to catalogue my (fledgling) personal library. Most importantly, it is functional. So far Im loving the Google Books auto input and seamless (and cross-iDevice) Dropbox integration and backup. On top of that, the interface is aesthetically simple and elegant. If you own more than 20 books, download this app and you wont regret it.
This is one fantastic app! I am using it to bring order to my library, which is totally out of control. The app finds all of the details about each book from Google just from the title and sometimes the author, needing very little editing (pub. year, publisher, usually), then I can customize each listing by categories and genre, adding comments where appropriate. Best, I enter a location into the "Placement" field, so when I find the title, I can find the book! I am learning many interesting facts - I own multiple copies of some books; books are not published by just one publisher; books are published with more than one cover design or photograph; ISBNs are less than useful. The Google database is astounding. I collect old (19th century) science books and some just old books, such as a German prayer book from about 1850. I have some obscure textbooks. Google found them all, with but a couple of misfires (one a textbook used by a colleague in the 60s published by Kwik Kopy). Support from the app publisher was almost instant. I discovered a quirk in the app last night. This morning, after an exchange of a couple of emails, the support person verified my observation, then assured me that the programmers had fixed it and an update was to be submitted to Apple, expected to be approved after a week or so. All fields are easily editable, so when I decide that biographies ought to be shelved together, which was the objective anyway, I can edit the Placement field quickly. In addition, since I can list all of the biographies, I will know how much held space is needed.
A great app.! I have an extensive library of childrens books, since I am an early childhood teacher, and this app was just what I needed to organize my books into themes. Love the option of taking your own photo of the book. The best thing about this app for us tech dummies is the customer service. Couldnt figure out how to add books to different categories and Andrea answered my e-mail within an hour. Explained it step by step and VERY clearly. My library is now organizes and Im ready to start the new school year. Thanks again Andrea!
Organising books has never easier. Sync is smooth via dropbox even across different OS platforms. Andrea, the developer is always there to assist. Kudos!!
After debating this and book crawler, I decided to go with this one. It is wonderful! The in-app scanner works great. Many of the books that dont have a bar code can be found with the google search. I especially love all the different sorting features, especially the field for placement. I can cross reference my books and can search for my books in any category using the Filter feature. Then I can see where the resulting books are located. This app is a dream come true for teachers or just people like me with extensive personal book collections. Also, when I emailed with a question, she got right back to me within less than a day. I appreciated that very much!
I cant believe I actually paid money for this. Internal scanner DOES NOT WORK. It doesnt even put up a bar, or grid to even try to read the bar code. I tried the "use other app to scan" option, and if there is any movement whatsoever, it cant read it. I gave up and put the number under the code in, and it finally accepted the new book. I dont have time to spend a minute a book to scan my library in. In the new update, it says iOS 7 users can now use the internal scanner...NOPE. still doesnt even try.
